Underground Drain Cleaning

Underground Drain Cleaning

Let G&S clear your clogged underground pipes and get your drains flowing again.
How do you clean underground drain tiles?
We first identify the gutters that need to be serviced and locate the underground drain and drain outlet. We disconnect the gutter downspout from the underground drain. We then put a high-pressure hose with a hydro-jetting tip in the top of the drain and start the pressure. The hydro-jetting tip sprays high pressure water and propels itself down the pipe cutting through blockages thereby re-establishing flow.

What if tree roots have grown into the drain tile?
Hydro-jetting will not prevent tree roots from growing in cracks of pipes. Some roots may come dislodged and flushed through the drain pipes with hydro-jetting; however, many times a mechanical auger is needed to cut the roots in the pipe first. Depending on the severity of the situation, you may be able to chemically treat the pipe to prevent future growth or you may need to dig up and replace the pipe.
